it’s me, Makayla.
Hey friends! My name is Makayla Harris. I am sure you got that memo when you found my site. I am a wife, friend, creative, writer, and mother of three beautiful brown children. Through my writing, you will learn so much more about who I am and my love for words.
In addition to writing, I serve as a homeschool educator of my children and shepherd hearts at Mission 418 Church in Grandview, Missouri. My heart is to equip generations to hear and know the voice of God and to be a messenger of the Lord to strengthen the Bride of Christ (the church) as we await the Bridegroom (Jesus).
In my own time, you can catch me journaling at any time of the day, dancing around the house with my children, or watching a movie with my husband that I try my best not to fall asleep on. Thank you for hanging out with me!
Meet The Family.
A marriage and three children later is honestly a dream Marquis and I prayed for. I remember when we sat on the beach and talked about starting a family. It was a desire pressed upon our hearts, and here we are navigating the parenting world one moment at a time. We raise our family with a few things in mind: God first, marriage second, and our children third; everything else flows from there. As we are not a perfect family, we strive each day to allow Christ to complete His perfect work in our lives. So yes, we are the Harris’, a family with a whole lot of love for one another and people around us.
