Renewing the Hearts of People in Kansas City

I woke up in the middle of the night and heard gunshots. I snoozed a little longer until I couldn’t stay asleep anymore. Marquis turned to me and said, “Did you hear those shots?” I usually can soothe back to bed, but all I could hear was a silence—no sirens this time, just silence. I went to my couch and had a weepy yet hopeful time with the Lord.

The Lord spoke prophetically over KC:

“I am awakening the hearts of people in Kansas City. I have been weeping over this city and sparing lives with the mercy of God. For this is a time of renewal that will not be shaken. The enemy has run rampant and people have allowed it. I will take back territory. I will take back land and remove the shackles of darkness if my people call on my name in this hour. I am the Lord God and will not be moved by what I see. The hearts of people have drawn cold yet I can lift the banner of darkness if they let me in.

My sheep will be protected and not be put to shame. I am unveiling the curtains of darkness that have been disrupted by the enemy and his legions. The spirit of darkness hovering over this city is a warning that the time for change can only happen if hearts become open to the sweet fragrance of the Lord.

I am tearing down the layers of idols and accusations that have been trapped in the city. I am raising up a people that have committed their yes to ensure that the grounds of spaces stand in holiness again.

I will eradicate darkness that has permeated in my churches and the blood of Jesus will be exalted again. My sheep will find that I am the Great I Am. I am the Chief Shepherd. I will not be second to the idols that were placed on man for my Kingdom has come. If my people will humble themselves, repent, and pray; they will see the glory of the Lamb rule over this city and in territories that have seemed impossible to change.

I am the King of kings. I am the Lord of lords and I hold the key for things to come. I will carry the yokes of bondage and burdens if my people allow me to. Where the voices have drawn cold and silent, I am raising up new soldiers to battle in my army over this city.

Don’t be moved by what you see for the power and might of the blood of Jesus will remain a strong tower. The light of the Lamb is ready to shine brightly if my people give me access and toss away their own agendas and strategies that don’t come from the Kingdom of Heaven.

Tormenting spirits will flee and bow at the feet of Jesus where darkness is exposed. Where the root of witchcraft has tried to disrupt communities; I will raise up an army that will hold pillars to protect these spaces. I will do a new thing that comes from the ecceclsia (church) and I will tear down the idols within the walls if my people repent and turn from how they have mishandled my sheep. My mercy has stood chance after chance. My glory is available to make all things new. Do you not perceive it? I have made provisions in the wilderness and lilies of hope in the valleys.

Today is a new day and a new opportunity for my people to take back territory that can only come through the blood of Jesus. My children have access to me so abide, abide in what I can offer. Let go and allow my light to shine in. Arise, arise you sleepers, for a new time has come. Will you let me in?”
