Repairer of the Bride of Christ: His Restoration
Over the past couple of weeks, I sat with the Lord and wrestled about the state of the Church that I am deeply passionate about. As I saw more things occurring in the media regarding the Bride of Christ (the Church), the more seeds of discouragement were being sown that I had to surrender over and over again. I then considered day after day to dissolve my social media altogether, to run from the noise, yet the Lord did not clear me to do that. With my family having a fresh new church plant out of obedience to the Lord, I was feeling challenged and not very equipped to carry the mantle/assignment at hand.
On April 3rd, the Lord spoke to me and said, "You carry the burden because you care about my Bride, but you must let me have the weight fully. Guard your eyes and ear gates as you see any public accusation regarding my Bride." It was a reminder of what the Lord was preparing me for in this current time of purifying, cleansing, and renewal pertaining to the Church at large.
It was the Lord preparing my heart for the pouring out of His heart that would look messy in the eyes of the flesh, yet is an intentional cleansing for the purity He desires to bring back to the house of the Lord, both locally and globally. For every abuse, accusation, and manipulation that has turned hearts from Him---He is a repairer of the breach. The necessity of this time as He desires His Sons and Daughters to be protected, safe, and secure by the hands of servants and shepherds.
He then gave me the scripture Isaiah 43:19, "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland."
I spent months on my face, alongside intercessors, and Daughters in the faith that were calling me up for the work ahead over my family. It was time spent examining my own heart with the Lord and repenting for the posture of my heart that would bring distraction and distaste for the future ahead had I not laid down what was flowing in my heart and mind.
On April 12th, the Lord spoke to me again and said, "There will come a time when you will be tempted to be silent because of the brokenness of the Bride, but don't. Stand firm in the Lord, Daughter, and lean into the wisdom of the Lord. My Sons and Daughters are coming back home, and you cannot afford to shut down in the face of intimidation."
Little did I know that months later, I would be tempted to push myself into the background as the noise grew louder and as the enemy tried to put me in a state of confusion about how the Lord is restoring the Bride of Christ.
I share this to say, it is time to sound the alarm for every disciple that cares deeply about the Renewal of the Bride of Christ (The Church). The togetherness to rebuild can only occur if hearts are repentant and open to the newness the Lord is stirring. The hand of His mercy is here and near. The sifting is necessary for the Lord to revive all religious systems that have left His sheep broken, scattered, and heartbroken.
"But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream!" Amos 5:24
We WILL see the hand of the Lord bring forth renewal. We WILL see His justice flow. We WILL see a rebuilding of His Bride, and it will not be from the glory of man. Discern how your eyes see and ears hear in this season. Leaders, stay at HIS feet. Servants, stay at HIS feet. Disciples, stay at HIS feet. Arise, Sons and Daughters!
"They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations." Isaiah 61:4
